Frequently asked questions

In your event, go to channel settings and turn on AI Voice Translation for any channel you want automatic speech-to-speech translation for. You find a detailed how-to guide here in our Help Center.
Costs depend on the time you are using it, just as you pay for a human interpreter by time. AI Voice Translation is not included in the listener plan, but is billed by minute. Minutes start counting as soon as you click "Start AI Voice" and will end when you click stop again. Once a week you will get the invoice for all used minutes within that week.
AI is already impressive, but you will still get the best live translation from human interpreters. Also, the speed will be faster with human interpretation, because AI will need to wait until a sentence is finished until it can actually start translating.

We want to make sure you have the right expectations when using AI. Therefore we provide an overview about the differences between AI Translation vs. Human interpreters here.

With LiveVoice you can combine AI and human interpreters for the best of both worlds. For example, you can offer human interpretation for the main languages and provide additional languages effortlessly with AI Voice Translation. There is even the option to hand over between human interpreter and AI in the same language channel.
Yes! You can combine both AI Voice Translation and AI Subtitles in any way you want. For example you can add AI Subtitles as closed captions to each of the AI Voice channels. Or you can add even more translated subtitles for other languages that you do not offer as Voice Translation.
