Say hello to LiveVoice SMART ...and a lot of admin updates!

LiveVoice has evolved a lot over the past few years. With the growing number of features and options, we continually face a central challenge: keeping our offering as simple and clear as possible for our users – because, along with flexibility, this is one of our core concerns. That's why we've been working intensively over the past few months on a major update, which we're pleased to introduce to you today!

Introducing: LiveVoice SMART

Previously, you could choose between two options: LiveVoice BASIC and PRO. One of the most popular features was and still is the branding option, which allows you to customize your event with a header and logo. Previously, this was only available in PRO.

Now you can choose between three options: LIGHT, SMART, and PRO.

LIGHT is essentially the successor to BASIC. PRO remains the same.
SMART is our new middle category that combines some features that were previously included in either BASIC or PRO. Two core features that are now available starting with SMART are recording and branding. This means you can now use the branding feature in the more affordable SMART version!

What's changing for our customers?

For existing users, hardly anything will change. BASIC users will become LIGHT users. If you have an existing subscription, you'll retain all the features you've been using (such as recording). This also applies to iFrame Embed, which will become a PLUS feature now. For existing PRO users, everything will remain unchanged.

New users without an existing subscription can test all account types and then choose what they'd like to purchase in the future.

This brings us to the next topic...

"Free Plan" becomes "Test Plan"

So far you could use our "Free plan" to test LiveVoice with up to three participants and use it to prepare your event before booking anything. This will continue to be possible, we'll just be calling it free "Test Plan" from now on to emphasize its purpose more clearly.

In addition, not only the admin but also speakers and participants will be notified when an account is in Test Plan. This makes it clear to everyone involved which mode they're in and why they can only have three participants at the moment.

With the free Test Plan, you can try out all three account types (LIGHT, SMART, and PRO) and test every feature while preparing your event. Booking a day plan or subscription simply changes the number of people who can participate, just as it used to be.

Speaking of account types, this brings us to the next piece of news...

Account types instead of event tiers

Previously, you could choose a different "tier" (BASIC/PRO) for each event, but that sometimes led to confusion. To simplify this, the entire account will now be set to LIGHT, SMART, or PRO.

This means that all your events will be of the same type, and you can only book one plan type at a time. Of course, you can change your account type at any time if you need more or different features. This change will then update all your plans or events accordingly.

AI Voice Translation & Subtitles

Billing Cycle
Like before, all AI minutes (Ai Voice Translation and AI Subtitles) will be billed once a week on Monday. What's new is that if you have used minutes worth more than 250€ on a given day, you will be billed right away at the end of that day.

More free AI test minutes
From now on each new users gets even more free minutes to try out our AI services! After signup you will get 20 minutes for AI Voice Translation and 20 minutes for AI Subtitles, a total of 40 minutes.

New: Admin Dashboard

As part of the account redesign, we've also redesigned the admin area. There's now a dashboard where you can find all the latest relevant information about your events. There is also a new, more clearly structured Account & Plans page. We hope this will provide you with an even better overview.

New Help Center 😎

What we're personally most excited about: We have a new Help Center! To make it as easy as possible for you to find all the information you need, we've completely redesigned both the search and the structure with a new system.

In addition to individual articles, you'll now also find guides. These are curated collections of articles, similar to YouTube playlists, that guide you step by step through a specific topic. We want to meet your and everyone else's individual information needs, from technicians and event organizers to interpreters and other stakeholders.
