Relay function
Relay interpretation is useful when not all interpreters understand the original floor language spoken on stage. Instead of interpreting directly from the floor language, interpreters can listen to another interpreter’s channel and translate from there.
For example:
- The speaker talks in Danish
- One interpreter translates Danish → English
- Another interpreter listens to the English channel and translates English → Spanish
This setup is called relay interpretation.
How relay interpretation works in LiveVoice
Step 1:
Click "Start streaming" on the language channel you are interpreting.

Step 2:
Click play on the channel you want to listen to, like floor language or other interpreters.

Note for admin: Do not enable multi-listening in this case. Interpreters should only hear one channel at a time, so they can switch between channels quickly with a single click.
Pro tip: Activate auto listening for the interpreter to automatically hear the selected channel.
