Test Event for Interpreters

Use this test event to learn how to use LiveVoice as an interpreter.

Step 1: Open this invite link in a web browser https://livevoice.io/speak/030350

Recommended browser: Chrome.


Step 2: Click "Join event"

Step 3: Enter your name

The name is only used for internal functions like the team chat. The audience will not see it. Provide a name that is useful for your interpreter colleagues and the event admin.

Step 4: Allow microphone access

Check the "Remember" box and click "Allow"

Step 5: Choose the right microphone input

On the left, you see your channel that you will speaking into. In the test event it is called "My channel". In the actual event, this will be the name of the language you are interpreting into.

Make sure your headset is selected as audio input in LiveVoice.

Step 6: Click Start

You are live now!

Step 7: Click Play at Floor channel

To listen to the Floor (original audio from stage) click play at Floor.

For this test event, there is an audio loop playing. At an actual event, you will hear the live audio from stage.

Note:For RSI there will also be a video displayed (which is not visible in this demo event).
