Auto Listening
Available in: SMART, PRO
Use the Auto Listening feature to make sure a speaker automatically hears a selected channel without needing to press the "Play" button.
For example, in simultaneous interpretation you can set Auto Listening to the Floor channel, so interpreters instantly hear the Floor without any manual action. This is especially useful in more complex setups, such as relay interpretation.
Note: This feature has no effect on participants.

Setup
1: Edit channel
Go to your event, find the channel you want to set this up for and click "Edit channel".
2: Choose the channel that should start playing automatically.

Example
You want to do relay interpretation, because not all of the interpreters speak all other languages.
In our example the main language, which all interpreters understand, is English.

Auto Listening for the English channel:
- The interpreter who gives relay (who understand the language currently spoken on stage) always needs to listen to the Floor channel.
- Therefore, for the English channel Auto Listening is set on "Floor".
- So, as soon as an interpreter gets into the English channel, he will automatically hear the Floor channel.
Auto Listening for the German channel (and all others):
- The interpreter who takes relay (from the one who interprets to English), always needs to listen to the English channel.
- Therefore, for the German and all other language channels, Auto Listening is set on "English".
- So, as soon as an interpreter gets into the German or Spanish channel, he will automatically hear the English channel.
Note: When Auto Listening is set for its own channel (e.g. English in the English channel), Auto Listening will only start in the Lobby (when you are not the active speaker). Otherwise you would hear yourself.
