How to: Sending stage audio

Learn how to send original audio (Floor) to interpreters or ingest audio for silent conferences.

In order to provide the Floor channel to an interpreter, or simply sending original audio from stage to your audience for other uses cases (like silent conferencing), this is how you can set it up easily with LiveVoice.

1: Create channel

Create a new channel in your event and call it, for example, "Original Audio" or "Floor".

2: Connect audio

Connect your audio mixing console to a laptop or PC (audio cable or USB depending on your equipment). Learn more how to connect with an audio interface here.

3: Join LiveVoice event

Start LiveVoice on the computer browser. We recommend to use Chrome. Open www.livevoice.io and enter the speaker code of the channel, or follow the link you can get in the admin account. You will need to allow the mic permission in the browser when you enter for the first time.

4: Choose audio input and settings

Make sure the right audio input is selected. You will see the audio meter working if input comes in.

Click on the settings wheel. For beste audio quality make sure noise suppression and echo cancellation are turned off. Auto gain control can be helpful to have turned on.

5: Start Streaming

Click "Start" in the LiveVoice Lobby. The interface will turn orange and you are active now.
